Jump, Jive & Swing! presents "PROM 1957", an evening of Big Band and Ballroom dancing and lessons in a wholesome (and incredibly fun!) environment.  A special 1950's themed event with a special surprise guest live orchestra!
"Jump, Jive & Swing!" is an evening of Big Band Swing and Ballroom dancing, lessons and great fun. Come on down, learn some new moves and spend the evening dancing in a wholesome (and incredibly fun!) environment.  Group lessons are Ballroom from 7:45 to 8:15 pm, and Swing from 8:15 to 8:30pm, with dancing until 11:00 pm.  Located at 409 Franklin Road, Brentwood, in the ballroom/auditorium of Otter Creek Church (formerly Brentwood Baptist ChurchLiving Word Community Church).   Featuring an awesome hardwood dance floor, great acoustics and ambiance, and plenty of free parking.  Singles and couples of all ages welcome!  All "Jump, Jive & Swing!" events are smoke and alcohol free, family friendly, and held in a God-honoring environment.  This special event is only $7 per person at the door, and includes a complimentary buffet of appetizers, soft drinks, coffee and desserts.  Proceeds support "Youth for Truth" a ministry and mentor program for at-risk urban young people. May10 (Saturday) - Big Band Music Appreciation Society is hosting their mothly party.  Jim & Naomi are being joined by Joe & Connie Katimi, and they are back at the Eastwood Christian Church, located at 1601 Eastland Ave.  Cost is only $5.00, and that includes the dance lesson from Joe & Connie at 7:30pm, and dancing from 8:30 to 11:00 pm, as Naomi & Jim DJ your favorite types of swing tunes to keep you on the dance floor all night.  No partner or experience needed, dances are always smoke & alcohol free in a lovely old church hall with hardwood floor.  Refreshments are available, all ages are welcome, and dress is casual with hard-soled shoes appropriate for the floor  Also, for your comfort and safety, shoes that will stay on your feet are recommended and avoid spike heels.  For more info, call Naomi Craig at 227-1854 or email ilove2dance49@hotmail.com

May 24, 25, 26 (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) - The Southern Rhapsody Dance Society (SRDS) is again hosting Memorial Day in Music City dance festival.  The dance event will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Resort in Nashville, which gives over 4000 sq. ft.of dance floor.  Southern Rhapsody Dance Society has gained the reputation of producing the best Big Band “Social” Ballroom Dances by combining great bands, large dance floors, beautiful accommodations, and good people, at reasonable prices. There will be 3 Dances (Sat-Sun-Mon), 2 nights Accommodations (Sat-Sun), Welcome Reception (Sat), Dinner & Dance Exhibition (Sun), 2 Breakfasts (Sun-Mon), and a Group Dance Lesson (Sun. afternoon).  The bands are:

July 13, 14, 15 (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) - The Southern Rhapsody Dance Society (SRDS) is again hosting “Summer Nights” Dance Festival at the famous Indiana Roof Ballroom, located in the Embasssy Suites Hotel, at 140 West Washington St. in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.  This will provide over 8000 sq ft of dance floor.
